Never Give Up: Success Isn’t Going To Be Easy
You know I love what Zig Ziglar, Speaker, and Author said about success:
“Success is not a destination; it is a journey. The happiest people I know are those who are working toward specific objectives. The most bored and miserable people I know are those who are drifting along with no worthwhile objectives in mind.”
I truly believe one of the keys to never give up is setting specific objectives to keep you on course. Also, nothing worth having is going to come easy…Success isn’t going to be easy!
I just finished reading the book: How to Be Like Mike, “Life Lessons About Basketball’s Best.”
Great read I must say. Here below is a checklist inspired by this book, that will help you strive towards never giving up and keep pressing forward towards your goals. Setting specific objectives for your life will make your growth goals more achievable.
So here we go checklist time!!!
Train your mind to concentrate upon the essentials and discard the unimportant.
Passion & Energy
Enthusiasm is one of the most significant emotions. Without it, there is no achievement. With it, a new idea can win over an old idea.
If you want to leave your footprints on the sands of time, you’d better wear work shoes.
Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another.
“Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibility…In the final analysis, the one quality that all successful people have is the ability to take on responsibility.” -Michael Korda
The greatest of motivational principles are: people do what people see. As adults, we are still playing, Follow the Leader.
Competing and Winning
Winners expect to win in advance. Life is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
People support what they help create. This is key to remember Kings and Queens!
Good leadership should do more than attract followers. It should produce more leaders.
Respect, Trust, Loyalty
There’s only one thing more beautiful than a friend you can trust, and that’s one who trusts you.
We all want character, but not the trials that produce it. You can’t build character in a cocoon.
I encourage you all to seek growth and success in whatever God is calling you to pursue! Never give up and remember success is not going to be easy, but find ways to go from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm!!
I hope you enjoyed this post. I invite you to comment below your thoughts and comments on the subject. Will be greatly appreciated! Please check out my new book, Live, Learn and Lead Powerfully: A Teen Leadership Guide. Also, I would also love to speak at your next event, check out the programs I have to offer!
Lastly, keep those crowns on your HEARTS…and always remember tomorrow is yours to create, and don’t limit yourself.
